Twin Dragons: 6.4 out of 10 Starring: Jackie Chan If you like slapstick humor, then you might like this one. I’m accustomed to a bit of a different style of comedy, so most of this didn’t appeal to me as being very funny. In fact, there is really little fighting until the end, even then, its too much of a gimmick to be as enjoyable as most Chan action. The story is about a martial arts expert named Boomer and a classical piano musician that are separated twin brothers. They meet up at some time in the movie, and of course, wackiness ensues. Boomer ends up conducting a concert in a kung fu style (which, wouldn’t you know it, works well!) and the pianist brother ends up getting mixed up in Boomer’s mess. There’s too much fainting in this movie… that’s all there is to it! There is quite a few points that I disagree with the director and writers on, namely that people don’t tend to faint at the sight of twins, mostly anyway. Also, maybe its just me, but I think that it’s generally uncommon to find twins that always sneeze in unison and follow the same movements at all times… but then, its not a documentary now is it? I SUGGEST YOU WATCH FOR: Jackie using the microphone like nunchucks. THE BEST FIGHT: The end fight scene, the twins fight a group of thugs in some kind of car testing factory, there are some worthwhile moves in it, but, still not all that great. |
