Police Story 2: 8 out of 10

Starring: Jackie Chan

This is the second installment of the series, following Officer Chan. Jackie is a newly demoted traffic cop (because he is too much of a screwloose). He runs into the crime lord Qu that he battled in the first movie, and is frustrated now, because he has no power in his position and now Qu is making threats on Jackie and his friends. The crime lord has nothing to lose because he is dying and wants his revenge on Jackie for putting him away in the first movie. Another unknown enemy moves in and complicates things, now Jackie has to fend off Qu and his thugs, and find out what’s happening with the new enemy. They end up kidnapping Jackie’s

There were some really cool fights in this one. However, the end, which is usually the best fight was slightly disappointing compared to the great interim ones in the film.

I SUGGEST YOU WATCH FOR: Jackie putting one of the thug’s heads in a drawer full of plates, then ax kicking it through the bottom… wow, that had to hurt!

THE BEST FIGHT: I really like the one in the restaurant, but I think that the playground one takes the cake! Jackie fights a gang of thugs brandishing lead pipes. There’s some excellent choreography in this one. Definitely worth your while! One of my favorites!
