Mr. Nice Guy 7.6 out of 10 Starring: Jackie Chan In this movie, Jackie plays a TV chef (yes, a bit obscure I know) that gets mixed up with a group of gangsters when his videos gets switched (sound familiar) and he ends up with some incriminating evidence. They continuously try to track him down, but cant catch him, until they get a hold of his girlfriend. In true Jackie Chan style, he goes to the most extreme distances to get her back safe. That is, everything but giving up the ransom, that would be too easy. This movie is enjoyable, but there really isn’t that much fighting in it. All in all, it sort of ends up being along the lines of Rumble in the Bronx, but falls a little short. I SUGGEST YOU WATCH FOR: The Pepsi truck falling over in the street, the actually full cans make a cool effect! Also look for the guy on the Bicycle that appears throughout the movie, that is Sammo Hung, star of the TV series Martial law, schoolmate of Jackie's, and director of this film. THE BEST FIGHT: Jackie versus Giancarlo, the mob boss (played by Richard Norton, martial arts star from the 80’s) The mob boss has Jackie tied so he cant move, and held by four henchmen, Jackie still wins! |
